Product Research Methodology
FitzPort Shop uses an evidence-bound editorial workflow. Each published product is matched to an exact marketplace listing and relevant official product information before it appears in the catalog.
Source hierarchy
Official manufacturer or publisher pages are the primary source for specifications and product claims. The exact Amazon ASIN listing supplies the marketplace title, image, price, rating, and affiliate URL.
Integrity gates
The workflow rejects mismatched ASINs, accessory prices, unverifiable official sources, unsupported facts, fabricated customer quotations, and claims of hands-on use.
Research score
Eligible products are scored from marketplace feedback (35%), source evidence (30%), specification depth (20%), and editorial completeness (15%). Price, an official source, rating, sufficient review volume, and at least two documented specifications are required before a score appears.
Ongoing maintenance
Ongoing quality control rechecks exact product links, prices, taxonomy, weak articles, and missing images. A changed record is rechecked against its source and live listing before it remains in the catalog.
Editorial boundaries
Pros and cons summarize documented capabilities, limitations, and marketplace feedback. They are not personal testimonials. Prices and availability can change after verification. Comparisons are limited to products in the same governed category and product type with shared specification fields.
